Because my starter switch is in my stick grip and because it is only rated for low amperage, I need to put a starter relay in place. The solenoid power comes directly from the main power lug on the firewall, through the relay and then through an inline fuse (15 amps) to the starter solenoid. The only thing left to do here is connect 12v power through the starter switch to the coil side of the relay.
