Brief Description: Fabricated insulated common FWF ground strip
In my installation of the MGL RDAC X, I was unclear whether the ground strip connected to the engine block was also to be grounded to the firewall or not. The more I read, the more I suspected that they wanted the only ground to be from the engine. That meant it would need to be insulated from the firewalll. Barrier strips like the one pictured below are set up to connect tabs in pairs, with no connection between them. I simply drilled a hole down the middle, inserted a large copper wire through the entire assembly, and clamped it down with the 5 paired tabs. Now I have one continuous shared ground that is insulated from the mounting surface. Tomorrow I'll remove the other strip and install this in its place.
