Brief Description:  Finished brakes

Nearly half the time on this entry took place two nights earlier when I tried to bleed and test the brake system without having any thread sealant on my Poly-Flo fittings going into the1/8" NPT ports throughout the system. As you might expect, I wasn't able to get a perfect seal, and I got leaks I could not seal. After a quick Internet search that landed me at the Van's Forum, I saw that Permatex Form-A-Gasket 2 was highly recommended because of its non-hardening qualities. So today I evacuated the system, took apart every fitting, cleaned and lightly coated every brass fitting (going to NPT), reassembled and bled the brakes. Success at last. All of my tubing is clear enough to be seen through, which is a good and bad thing. The brake pedals are quite hard, despite the fact that there is the tiniest bit of air in each line. If I had gone with black or braided tubing, I never would have known. At least this way I can monitor if it increases. After "topping it off" three times, I'm calling the brakes done for now. The final step is burn in at the airport.
