Tonight I shortened the length of the box to 7" to account for the need to have more straight exhaust pipe to which I could clamp. Going the full 7.5" impinged on the radius of the pipe. I then slid the first end cap on the exhaust pipe, then the box, and finally the remaining end cap. At that point I riveted everything together and then reinstalled the exhaust pipe. In position, I was able to turn it for maximum clearance and the best alignment for connections. The rest of my time was spent cutting and fitting SCAT hose. I still need to put mounting hardware on the air fliter box, so it has no clamp yet.
