During the assembly process I discovered a few things. My geometry was a little off on my trim tab install. I have the hinge pushed a little too far under the skin (which is apparent now). I had to pull the tab back a little to align with the end of the elevator skin (but the edge distance is still reasonable for riveting).
But I had to file out a small space for the safety wire, otherwise it would bind in the corner and bad things can happen.
The inboard side doesn't have that issue.
