Brief Description: Upper Center Console for Throttle Quadrant
I constructed a new upper console to hold the 2 way Throttle Quadrant I purchased from Aircraft Spruce at AirVenture.
My plan was to put the TQ on the lower console that I made earlier in the year, That console is 2.5 inches higher than stock, but still did not provide adequate clearance above the controls.
Half the time was experimenting with placement of the TQ. My 1st attempt placed the Throttle too close to the front of the Transponder. I do not think it would have been an issue during flight as in cruise position, the handle should be lower, but I moved it down anyway.
I then was going to mount the curved TQ face much more elevated, basically "from the top" of the center console. This just didn't look right, so now the hole was too big to mount from the bottom, so I made a new upper console.
