Today I worked on skinning the wing and the aileron Bell crank access cover. Getting the cover to fit took a lot time and sanding. I got it to fit pretty good, you can see in the picture there's about a 16th of an inch I have to sand off after I get the leading edge skin fitted. In the other picture you can see the hole where the old wing tie down was. I was concerned with that hole being their so I called vans aircraft they told me it was a non factor and that the spar flange supports hardly any of the load and that it's only there to fasten the wing skin. You can also see the line of rivet holes that I drilled, which was not the correct spacing and is the reason why I had the use corner nut plates.
