Brief Description: Vertical Stabilizer Fiberglass Tip
Carefull attention to the plans didn't help me this time. It turns out that there is some variation in the fiberglass part supplied in the kit. So, making all the measurements and cutting and drilling, I fount that the tip didn't fit.
A email to Sonex tech support cleared up my confusion. With the fiberglass parts, it's necessary to trim and sand until you get the desired fit.
As it turns out, by trimming 3/8" from the bottom, I was able to get very nice fit. It moved the rear of the tip flush with the rear of the rudder.
