Today I finished skinning the top left side of the Horizontal Stabilizer. You can tell by the title of the picture, that what I discovered when I lifted the skin wasn't good. First of all I should have never drilled where there wasn't a blue line. I rationalized that maybe I didn't draw the line right in the middle, so it probably wouldn't be too bad. Well, everwhere else was close to center, but this corner is off for some reason. I'm going to remeasure everything to determine what happened. I consider this unacceptable; there should be 2 rivet diameters distance from the center of the hole, to the edge of the metal.
I know I've been working on this stabilizer more days than most of the websites I've seen. Maybe I'm slow, but I often don't get much more than 1 hour work sessions after work. My goal is to work on this project every day monday through friday though.
