Making the rudder took longer than I expected, but I wanted to do it corretly the first time. I was determined to make the measurements multiple times, and if possible in different ways to make sure I didn't make a mistake.
As usual, in hindsight I could have made it easier on myself by making some measurements while the rudder was still a rectangle. Unfortunately I had cut one side at an angle according to the plans, but afterwards realized that some of the measurements referenced the squared edge that I removed.
In the end I was able to compensate, and believe I got the rudder made within my goal of 1/32" tolorance.
