I get my airworthiness certificate, and logbook entry today. In the back of my mind I was thinking that I might fly but didn't want to get my hopes up.
I ended up being able to perform the first flight towards the late afternoon. It was an very satisfying experience that I had been waiting for 6 years to achieve. I could explain all the details, but here is a video that explains and proves it.

The Sonex flew great, and the landing was easier than I expected. I'm looking forward to more flying to continue to improve my rusty flying skills
