Had second tech couselser visit it seemed to go well. See his comments below:
"Aircraft is well along in the construction process with only a few items to get it ready for final inspection. Fuel gage, compass, data plate, registration numbers, experimental letters, passenger warning label, placards and control identification, etc. Good technique is evident in the project, well done."
I explained that you can see the fuel level by looking at the plastic fuel tank, but it was difficult to see when flying. Based on this I decided to install the backup camera solution as I've seen another builder do: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pnXE_hSvlJI
I'm going to install a suction cup compass for now, though I'm not entirely sure I need one as my plane will be strictly daytime VFR for now.
