Over the last couple days I finished smoothing and priming all the spar parts. Used a very light coat of primer
Today I started riveting. I had purchaced a rivet gun, and a back riveting set, but wasn't able to use if for the flush rivets. So I decided to rivet it the way the company recommended. Back from the store with a heavy hammer, and a 1/2" diameter polished bolt, I began riveting.
Ironically, swinging the hammer seemed less combersome than using the rivet gun. It also gave me a sense of satisfaction; as I could hear the ring tone of each blow get sharper as the rivet hardened. Besides, sometimes it just feels good to hit something. :-)
