As reported earlier, the new design of the control stick assembly and the new forward seat pan required a new design of the seat pan complete with a cutout to accommodate the stick assemble. The cutout really needs a cover to keep anything out of the mechanism. So, the picture shown here is the beginning of said cover. The rivet plate simply keeps the fiberglass lay-up (over a cut carboard tube) somewhat taut as the epoxy cures. Once cured (the next day) the wax paper is removed as is the rough fiberglass part - ready for final trimming.
