Today, I made thicker reinforcing plates and riveted them on the backside of the baffle (vs. the front per the drawing) and at the preferred 8.133 location.
Next was the addition of two mounting brackets that go between the baffle and two pushrod tubes. This took a while because I first had to discover that the adel clamps worked better if mounting reversed from what the manual said and before you cut and fit, then cut and fit, and then cut and fit to get everything just so. The first one took about 1.5 hours and the second one took an actual 15 minutes. The learning curve is alive and well.
