Brief Description: Finished spraying UV primer on fuse and sprayed pr
Sprayed the last coat of UV primer on the fuselage. Having done so, I was setting the gun for spraying the primer on the gear legs and thought I'd check the spray pattern on the just finished fuse. Hit it a little too hard but learned a lesson - the primer has to go on via what is basically a fog coat then the finished coat. You probable can't see the issue (major case of orange peel) in image #2 but I put it there in hopes to help someone else - no sense learning from your mistakes when you can learn from mine. Luckily it is in a very small area (see the white patch mid station on the fuselage) and can be easily sanded out.
Anyhow, I then sprayed the primer on the gear legs and all went well.
BTW - you might have noticed that I decided to use one end of my shop for spray booth #2. Reason: I don't want to move the fuselage out of the real paint booth until it is done and on its legs. Too risky as the rotisserie wasn't designed for major moves.
