Completed the backing plate and lanyard for the data plate. Took the EAA supplied data plate to an engraver. Thought his price to be too high so came home with plans to use my metal stamps and DYM. Found out that the "manufactures name" was too long for the area allocated in the data plate. Removed the EAA supplied silk screen so the entire, now blank, data plate was available. Discovered the data plate was too hard to use my metal stamps on without major issues. Made a data plate out of softer stainless steel and match drilled the holes. Embossed the required data on the damn data plate. Mounted the required data plate in a location acceptable to the regulator. Thought about taking up knitting.
