Brief Description: Final fit and assembly of doors
After taking a close look at how the windows fit after being hung yesterday I decided that some improvement was available. So, I
1. Removed the edge mounted protective tape and marked both door transparencies for trimming. 2. Removed and trimmed. 3. Remounted the hinges with the proper hardware. 4. Called Joe to find out how he mounted the window on the frame without having to fight the superman two sided mounting tape. (Whatever that stuff touches is seemingly welded in place.) The answer: a. Place the tape on the frame. b. Locate the transparency on the frame with the mounting screws. c. Carefully reach between the transparency and the tape and begin removing the separation barrier - I used toothpicks and left them in as I went around the periphery to keep everything separated. d. Once all is lined up, remove the separation barrier and the transparency will fall in place. The pilot's door is next!
