Brief Description: Attempted to fit the aileron spar
When attempting to slide the aileron spar into position in the ribs, discovered that more material had to be removed from the gussets and rear part of the aileron nose rib to fit through the ribs. I had remembered that only an alignment feature on the rear part of the nose ribs had to be removed. Turns out it was more. Since I thought I was keeping this log not only as a log of activity but a log of tricks, tips and techniques I went back in history and discovered that an openning between two gussets should have been made wider before epoxying them in place. How quickly we forget!!
Also - the painted (primer only) landing gear components can in from the paint shop!! (Jamie)
