Brief Description: Installed the HT in prep for setting control stops
Decided to put the HT and elevator back on – it is time to set the elevator stops and determine if the di-pole antenna can be installed without damage.
First off - yep, the antenna can be bent out of the way without damaging it while installing the elevator and HT. Furthermore, it is then easily moved back into its proper position.
Oops, then I discovered that I forgot a promise - that I would fabricate the slide pucks before putting the tail pieces in so I had an opportunity to prove it is possible to remove the HT without damaging the antenna during that process as well.
BTW - I have no idea how one would or could fit the stops and drill the 4130 receivers and match drill with the stops in place IAW the manual. I chose to carefully make measurements and do all on the workbench.
Then, back in the fuse it went. No damage to the antenna. I'm calling the experiment complete.
