Brief Description: Installed the cabane gear and axles
Took a little time to properly install a new metal cutting blade on my band saw - and - for the first time, used the gear reduction system. Then cut each of the four spring leg components to length and drilled the hole in the end of the spring legs. Next was setting the caster angle and lock the legs in position to be able to match drill the components in position. I opted to drill a #41 hole and cleco them in position as I don't know how to match drill with precision a 5/16' hole using an existing 5/16 hole as a guide. (On 7/8 inch tubing the drill tip angle is just steep enough that there's nothing available to guide it.) Then I started the hole with a small drill in the matching holes and worked up to size before the final ream operation.
