Brief Description: Finished the mass balance and built pitot tube
Installed the mass balance top side rivets. Also, added filets of epoxy to the edges to improve the chances for a better looing paint job.
Build the new and improved ( :) ) pitot tube. I opened the center hole of a bulkhead fitting to accept a 1/4" aluminum tube that was bent to the factory pitot tube dimensions, installed the bulkhead fitting and then bent the tube so that the inside length went aft. The theory being that a one piece approach eliminates the two flange connections - which by nature are prone to leak and might be moved out of position inadvertently by someone walking around the aircraft.
