Mounted the master solenoid to the rear spar beside the battery box. cut a piece of #2 "fat wire" to connect the battery + terminal to one terminal of the solenoid. Made a crimping tool as descibed in the installation instructions that came with the Copper Clad Aluminum (CCA) Super CCA 4 wire from Perihelion Design. http://www.periheliondesign.com/fatwires.htm The Super CCA 4 wire conducts better than AWG 4 copper wire, but weighs 45% as much.
Installed a terminal on each end of the wire according the CCA - 4 installations instructions. That is, crimped, soldered, and covered the barell of the terminal with shrink tubing. Installed the wire between teh + battery terminal and the nearest solenoid terminal.
