Finished fabrication of the flap position sensor bracket. located and drilled the position sensor mounting holes. Fabricated a fitting to be on the flap actuator rod end bolt to provide a mounting location for the Dubro pushrod end. Drilled a hole on the position sensor arm to fasten the Dubro pushrod end. Determined the length for the pushrod. Cut off the two pushrods so each was 76mm, or one half of the total required length. Used a 40mm length of brass tubing to go over the ends of the pushrods and joined the ends together by sweat soldering the brass tube to the pushrod ends.
Soldered wires to the position sensor. Black wire to terminal 1 (ground), red wire to terminal 3 (+5v), white/orange wire to terminal 2 (sensor output). Put shrink tube over the terminals and wire ends.
Ran the flap actuator through from full up to full down. The pushrod contacts the forward ege of the sensor mounting bracket when the flap actuator is near full falp down position. The flap actuator pushrod end will need to be raised and the pushrod lengthened.
