Brief Description: Forward top skin access opening
Drilled remaining holes in the access cover support strips. Countersunk the nutplate mounting holes. Riveted the remaining nutplates to the suppport strips. Primed the remaining areas where the aluminum supports will overlap. Assembled the cover support strips and angle strips to the top skin to check the fit. Disassembled the pieces. Applied Permatex Ultra Black to the mating surfaces. Assembled the pieces with clecoes and riveted the pieces together with Chris holding everything while I riveted. Cleaned up the excess Permatex where it squeezed out of the joints. Put the top skin back over the instrument panel and firewall and clecoed in place to keep the shape while the Permatex cures.
