Added a spring on the control stick to pull back and balance out the weight of the elevator. The spring is fastened to the stick about an inch below the connection for the top elevator cable. The otherr end of the spring is fastened to about an inch below the fairlead hole. Now, the elevator is in the neutral position when at rest and the effort to reach full up travel is reduced to about 2.4 lbs. Without the spring, the effort to reach neutral elevator position was 3.5 lbs and 4.6 lbs for full up travel. I found that significant reduction in elevator effort and excess tightening of the cable in the up elevator position could be made by better aligning the fairlead holes with the natural routing of the cable.
