Replaced the L angle that I doubled earlier to stiffen the fuselage side at the step mounting area with an 0.125" x 3/4" 6061 T6 L angle. Drilled all the rivet holes for #5 rivets. Extended step support doubler to full length of the support to minimize bending. Assembled with clecoes and tried the step. It is better with less flexing. The fuselage bottom still flexes too much. I'll need to remove the Z strip riveted to the floor above the step cross tube and replace it with a stronger piece.
