Installed fabricated (blue) Delrin bearing on the flap actuator torque tube. Fabricated and pressed 5/16" tube over the 1/4" dia operating rod. Milled the slot in the left flap root rib plastic insert to 5/16" width to fit the 5/16" dia rod. Installed both flaps and ailerons. Adjusted flap up stops for correct flap up angle. Measured flap travel and found 20.5 degrees. The spec is between 20 and 24 degrees. There is no way to get more flap travel other than using a different linear actuator. Slop in the flap control linkage is minimum now. Some play in the supplied aluminum bearings at the outer ends of the torque tubes contribute to flap movement when flaps are down. When these bearings wear more, delrin bearings will need to be made to remove the excess clearance.
