Fabricated a mold from styrofoam for the air inlet to the oil cooler. Covered the foam with duct tape and smoothed the bend and transition from the round inlet to the rectangular section below with clay. Applied a coat of PVA mold release. Layed on two layers of lightweight glass fiber cloth using System 3 epoxy resin. Layed on two layers of 6 oz carbon fiber cloth using high temp epoxy resin.
Welded a recessed firewall pass through for the cabin heat control from stainless steel tubing and flat stock. The recessed pass through was needed because the cabin heat control arm is too close to the firewall for the control cable attachment to fit.
