Removed the Rotec carburetor, and associated throttle and mixture controls. Removed the stainless steel intake tube from the engine intake. The intake tube was tack welded together earlier. Cleaned up the inside of the intake where it had been tack welded. Covered the interior of the intake in the area where the joints will be welded with Solar Flux to keep oxydation and roughness minimum on the inside. Used the CO2/Argon gas from the MIG welder introduced to the interior of the intake pipe during welding with the TIG system. This will minimize oxydation and slag on the interior of the weld area. Finish welded the joints in the intake tube. Welding turned out well both outside and inside.
