Cut about 40 degree piece from a 90 degree bend of 1.625" dia 304 stainless tube to connect to the 1.5" dia intake cross tube. Cut the end of the angle piece to meet with the cross tube. Cut a circular hole in the cross tube to mate with the angle piece. Got a good fit for welding. Tack welded the angle piece to the cross tube.
