Mounted the voltage regulator to the inside of the firewall on the right side near the top. This will be behind the glove box. I fabricated stand off supports from 1/2" diameter nylon rod. The VR mounting bolts go through the rod with the head on the firewall side. I mounted a small cooling fan on stand offs so the fan will blow air over the voltage regulator fins. Connected the fan ground wire under one of the VR mounting bolts.
