Brief Description:  Elevator Construction

6-28-2009 1130-1550 (4.3 hours)
Built jig for elevator and starting construction on Starboard Elevator. Notice the table was turned 180 degrees to accomodate workspace.

6-29-2009 1830-2015 (1.75 hours)
Laid out bottom section, cut and deburred leading edge, getting framework setup. Notice I have chosen not to secure trailing edge with basic rivet technique, but rather form a bend parallel with trailing edge, and riverting inside the elevator. This will have a much cleaner finish once covered, and reduce the edges that can harm the fabric finish. Taking a lot longer, but worth it.
