Brief Description:  Left wing top skins

Assembled the top skins and also the walk area reinforcing plates. This kit was final size holes so there was not anything to drill. I did use a reamer to loosen up a few holes, but overall most holes a rivet could drop right in.

The second picture is the beginning of trying to file off some thickness for the lap joint. Doing this proved to be very difficult and slow.

After reading around a bit, I decided to purchase a belt sander for the job. I purchased a WEN 6321 7amp sander.
What a great little machine. It made quick work of the tapered areas. I finished them off using 200 then 400 grit paper. then scotchbrite for a nice finish.
