Brief Description:  Finished Two Coats Primer on Lower Left Wing

Opened the primer can and stirred the paint until all of the solid material is dissolved off the bottom. Wiped down the next unpainted section of the bottom of the wing with a damp rag. Applied a coat of primer using a foam brush. Repeated the wiping and painting for the remaining sections of the wing. Went to the leading edge half of the wing bottom and lightly sanded the bottom of the wing section by section until the whole bottom is sanded. Wiped away the dust from the sanding with a dry shop towel. Applied a second coat of primer bushed at a 90 degrees from the first coat around the wing bottom. Used the soldering iron to mark in the top of the wing for the drag cable and strut penetrations.

Turned the wing over so the top is up on the table. Used the soldering iron to remove the material for the drag cables at the mark. Marked the top of the wing with pencil at the location for the strut end to penetrate the fabric. Again used the soldering iron to remove the marked fabric for the strut penetrations. Laid out a piece of scrap fabric over the area of penetrations and marked the necessary patch. Cut the patch from the fabric and repeated for the second penetration area. Gluing the patches down will be completed during the next work day.
