Brief Description: Primer Paint on Elevator and Rudder
Painted a second coat of primer on the elevator and set it aside to dry. Put the rudder on the table. Washed both sides of the rudder and rinsed with clear water. Used the small iron to go over the seams which had come up during the washing. Trimmed away any excess and frayed material. Dampened a section of the rudder and then applied a coat of primer. Repeated the process for the remainder of the rudder's surface. Went back to the starting point for the first coat of primer and applied a second coat of primer across both sides of the rudder.
Sanded both sides of the elevator to remove any foam specks and other blemishes. Touched up any areas where the sanding exposed the underlying material. The rudder will be sanded in the next work day.
