Brief Description: Started Painting the Center Section of the Wing
Finished sanding the trailing edge half of the upper left wing bottom. Wiped away the sanding dust and toughed up areas that were still ruff. Used the small iron to seal a few areas of taping were the edges were sticking up. Reviewed the bottom of the wing and painted any areas were the paint was thin or missing. Turned the wing over and checked the top for any rivet heads which needed painting and completed the touchup. Paul helped me move the upper left wing onto its stand. Secured the wing to the stand with a bungee cord.
Moved the center wing section onto the work table with the bottom side up. Washed the bottom surface with the cleaner and completed a rinse with clean water. Damped one section and started painting using vertical strokes parallel to the ribs. Repeated the damping and painting along the ribs and around the wing until the bottom was painted. End of day.
