Measured and cut a 8 inch length of the 1/4 inch aluminum C channel and installed it onto the lower brace for the left wing stub step support. The C channel was fitted over the brace to prevent buckling when under load. A steel clamp will be installed during the next work to hold the channel in place.
Replaced the four #6 screws in the G meter/clock with four black #6 by 1/2 inch hex screws.
Mounted the ELT box to the left side of the storage area right behind the seat back. Secured it in place with three #10 by 1/2 inch aluminum wood screws. Drilled a 5/8 inch hole in the floor of the storage area next to the ELT box to allow the portable antenna attached to the side to extend below the floor of the storage area. The external antenna mount will be fabricated during the next work day and mounted under the seat next to the left side.
Marked a 6 inch circle on a segment of .020 aluminum scrap sheet and cut it out with the hand shears. Sanded the edges smooth on the circle. Laid out the circle on the bottom of the aircraft under the seat slight on the right of center. The mounting plate will be glued to the fabric and the ADS-B antenna installed.
