Positioned the aft support brace on the transponder case next to the cross frame pipe. Marked the brace and then removed it from the case. Clamped the brace in the larger vice-grips and then bent the end of the brace to lay flat on the frame pipe. Temporary removed the brace and cut away the excess material from the end. Mounded the brace back on the case. Installed a rubber covered clamp on the frame pipe and aligned it with the brace from the transponder case. Marked the clamp hole on the brace. Again removed the brace and drilled the marked hole with a 13/64 inch drill. Installed the brace back onto the transponder case and to the clamp with an AN3 bolt.
Routed the transponder wiring harness over to the blind altimeter mount. Installed the circuit breaker in the instrument panel and secured it in place. Connected the power and ground wires to the terminal blocks on the right side of the fuselage. Connected the plug to the blind altimeter and secured it with the two screws. Inserted the blind altimeter into the holder and secured it in place with the screw on the end of the holder.
