Brief Description: Continued Work on VHF Radio and Transponder Plugs
Did some serious digging to come up with two #4 screws to mount the plug in the transponder case. Checked the alignment of the plug and then mounted it to the case with the two #4 screws.
Reviewing the pen-outs for the transponder and noted that a blind altimeter is required to completed the install. Also found that the coax cable sent was configured with the wrong type of plug. Not gaining much in that area today.
Checked the wiring on the VHF radio plug as to length to make connections. Marked the left and right locations on each of the wires. Installed a ring crimp terminal on the bear ground wire from the plug. Installed a slide clip terminal on the headset output and secured it with a 5/8 inch length of heat-shrink tubing. Installed a slide on terminal for the headset output line over two wires to inter-connect the pilot and copilot audio. Also added three labels to correctly identify the cables.
