Brief Description: Continued Work on Radio and Transponder Plugs
Opened the radio plug and removed the copilot's PTT wire from the #6 pin. Installed a new 22 gage wire with heat-shrink tubing and labeled it for the copilot PTT. Applied a 5/8 inch segment of heat-shrink tubing to the wires just aft of the plug connections. Installed the cable end case around the plug and tighten the screws holding it together.
Installed a three prong plug on the control stick wiring to connect to the yoke's PTT wiring.
Evaluated the transponder plug to locate the #1 position. Reviewed the installation manual on crimping wire ends to fit the plug. Installed a wire end on a segment of yellow 22 gage wire for use as a ground wire. The crimp looked good. Need a couple more wires made up for the plug plus finding screws to mount the plug into the case.
