Brief Description:  Designed Push-to-Talk Wiring Tube

Taped one end of the tube to the cross frame behind the instrument panel. Routed the tube straight down next to the battery and behind the battery frame then along the horizontal control pipe to the control stick. Marked the tube where it should end near the bottom of the stick. Removed the tube and removed the excess. The push-to-talk circuit requires three wires to complete. Tried inserting the wires into the tube and feeding the wires along the tube. Was only able to get the wires up the tube about 12 inches of the 40 inches required. Taped one end of the tube to the tent frame and the other end to a chair and pulled the tube straight. Again tried to feed the wire bundle into the tube. Was only able to get about 15 inches of the wires into the tube before it would not accept any more pushing. Ran a thin wire down the tune and wrapped it around the wire bundle and tried to pull the wires back through the tube. That failed after only about 12 inches.

The wire bundle consists of one single wire and one two circuit wire. Ran the two circuit wire down the tube until about 6 inches were extended from the other end of the tube. Now slid the single wire into the tube as far as it could be pushed. Next started pulling on the two circuit wire and feeding the single wire into the tube. Slowly the single wire was pulled through the tube along with the two circuit wire. Once the single wire was extended through the tube held it in place with a pair of vice-grips and pulled back the two circuit wire until the ends matched. Now to put plugs on one end of the wires and get the tube installed in the aircraft.
