Brief Description:  Starting Soldering the VHF Radio Plug

Used the pencil soldering iron and tined the #9 and #10 terminals . Prepared two lengths of red wire by striping 1/8 inch of the insulation from the ends of each wire. Tinned the ends of the red wires. Used a small paint brush to apply flux to the terminals. Placed one of the red wires into the #9 terminal and soldered it in place. Slid a small segment of heat-shrink tubing over the soldered terminal and set it in place with a heat gun. Repeated the same process on the #10 terminal.

Measured the length of black ground wires required for application. Tined the #11 and #12 terminals and one end of each of the ground wires. Soldered a black ground wire into each terminal port. Slid a short length of heat-shrink tubing down each black wire and secured in place with a heat gun. Tined #14 and installed a small segment of heat shrink tubing on one wire and soldered that wire of the shielded bundle to the terminal. Repeated the same process for terminal #1 with a length of shielded wire.
