Installed a 1 inch section for heat-shrink tubing on each wire lead from the CHT probe. Connected the ends of the probe’s wire to the cable leading through the firewall. The leads were wrapped around each other and then soldered. Once cooled the heat-shrink tubing was moved up over the connections and shrunk in place. A larger 2 inch segment of heat-shrink was place over both connections and shrunk in place. A protection tube was added to the wiring and secured to the support arm with stainless steel straps. The EGT probe wiring was also straped to the support arm with a stainless steel strap.
