Brief Description: Installed Accessory Power Plug Into Instrument Pan
Corrected the wiring issue on the dimming pot for the AOA system by moving one of the leads to the open lead on the pot. Tested the change and found that the LED’s on the display now can be dimmed from full bright to off with the dimmer pot. Installed the pot back into the instrument panel in its marked location.
Cut the red lead from the accessory power plug to 5 inches. Installed a crimped terminal on the red lead from the plug assembly and sealed the terminal with a one inch segment of heat-shrink tubing set with the heat gun. Installed a crimped terminal on the black lead from the plug and sealed it with a 1 inch segment of heat-shrink tubing. Installed another crimped terminal on one end of the remaining red wire. Removed the retainer and lock-washer from the accessory plug and slid the plug into the instrument panel. Installed the lock washer and then the retainer over the wires and onto the back of the plug. Turned the retainer until tight holding the plug in place. Mounted the red lead to one of the terminals on the 10 amp circuit breaker. Mounted the other end of the red wire to the other terminal of the circuit breaker. Installed the circuit breaker into its hole next to the accessory plug. The routing of the red wire and the black wire connection will be completed during the next work day.
