Brief Description:  Installed Emergency Battery Wiring

Drained the last of the fuel from the tank into the gas container. Removed the shut off value from the bottom of the fuel tank and applied a coat of fuel sealant to the threads. Installed the value back into the fuel tank and connect the fuel line. Left the value to set before adding fuel back into the tank.

Inserted the red #12 gage wire into the 4 foot 3/8 inch ID tube until it was passed through. Inserted the black #12 gage wire into the side of the tube 10 inches from the end and passed it through to the other end of the tube. Laid the tube with the wires along the right side of the cockpit and secured the top end with a zip tie to the standoff behind the instrument panel. Secured the other end to the standoff at that end with a zip tie. Added additional zip ties to secure the tube completely along the right side of the cockpit. Printed wire labels for both ends of the wires and set aside for later application. Installed a crimp terminal on the red wire and covered the crimp with heat shrink tubing. Laid out the red wire across the fuselage to the emergency power switch located in the center of the instrument panel. Removed the switch from the instrument panel and connected the emergency power wire to the switch. Installed the switch back into the panel. Put a crimp terminal on the black wire and secured it with a heat shrink sleeve. Applied a wrap label to the ground wire. Mounted the ground wire to the ground buss on the right side of the fuselage. Applied labels to the wires at the other end of the tube which will be connected to the emergency battery when it is installed.

Added additional zip ties to the wires behind the instrument panel to improve organization. Installed three white nylon fitting for the air lines to the instruments. Installed two heat shrink sleeves on the alternator wires and one heat shrink sleeve on the starter switch wire behind the engine. End of day.
