Removed the #6 red cable from the alternator and from the firewall. Measured out a new cable two inches longer to correct the connection location on the AMP shunt. Crimped new ends on the cable and heat shrink tubing over each crimp. Installed the new cable between the left end of the shunt and the alternator terminal through the firewall coupling. Added a black 16 gauge wire between the right end of the AMP shunt and the ground terminal block at the bottom of the firewall. Grouped the wiring over the gas tank and added four cable raps sections to hold the wiring together.
