Brief Description: Installed the Light Controllers Mounting Shelf
Drilled a 1/8 inch hole on the left side center 1/4 inch from the edge. Mounted the #8 nut plate with a screw on the bottom of the shelf. Drilled a 3/32 inch hole through the nut plate and the bottom of the shelf. Installed an aluminum 3/32 inch pop rivet through the nut plate. Drilled and installed the second pop rivet in the nut plate. Mounted the top strap on the shelf by installing a 1/8 inch pop rivet on the right side. Bent a 1/4 inch lip on the left end of the strap and drilled a 1/8 inch hole in the center of the lip. Put a 8 by 32 by 3/4 inch screw through the strap and into the nut plate. Positioned the shelf under the AMP meter and drilled a pilot on the left side top of the shelf. From the front drilled a 1/8 inch hole through the pilot hole. Installed a 1/8 inch pop rivet through the instrument panel and the back of the shelf. Leveled the shelf and then drilled a pilot hole on the right side of the shelf. Drilled the pilot hole from the front of the instrument panel with a 1/8 inch drill. Installed a pop rivet through the instrument panel and the back of the right side of the shelf. Installed the three light controllers on to the shelf.
Cut two #6 by 32 brass screws 1/4 inches long. Sanded the cut ends smooth. Connected the power lead to the center post of the cockpit light switch. Connected a second power lead to the center post and to the switches for the strobe and landing lights. Constructed a 18 gage power lead from the bottom post of the cockpit light switch to the power terminal post of the position lights and then to the landing light switch. Constructed an 18 gage power lead marked with "USB P" from the USB plug to the power terminal block. Constructed a ground wire from the ground terminal block to the cockpit lighting controller. Daisy chained the ground wire to the position land landing lights controllers.
