Brief Description: Wiring the Electric Scavenging Pump
Placed a segment of heat-shrink tubing on each lead from the scavenging pump and one more larger segment over both wires. Connected a 16 gage black wire to the black wire from the scavenging pump by twisting the two wires together and soldering the connection. Placed the segment of heat-shrink tubing over the splice and sealed in place. Connected a 16 gage red wire to the other lead as above. Placed the larger heat-shrink tubing over both splices and sealed in place.
Cut the black wire to length reaching the battery ground terminal. Placed a terminal on the end for connection to the ground. Secured both leads from the scavenging pump to the right side of the battery frame with a wire tie. Routed the red wire along the battery frame and up the firewall to the terminal block under the engine wiring access port. Secured the bottom of the red wire route with a wire tie at the battery frame right side.
