Brief Description: Installing the Starter Power Cable
Marked the position on the firewall for the pass-through fitting. Drilled a 7/8 inch hole at the marked location using a step drill bit. Cut an aluminum washer for the engine side of the firewall and mounted the fitting with the washer on the engine side. Tighten the nut using blue lock-tight. Installed one terminal on the 4 gage cable using the #25 compression blocks in the hydraulic press. Put heat-shrink tubing on the terminal and shrunk it to the cable. Ran the cable through the firewall fitting and connected the terminal end to the right side of the solenoid. Measured the correct length for connection to the starter and cut the cable to length. Installed a terminal with heat-shrink tubing on this end and positioned it at the starter.
